Peter Yang

Peter Yang is a college student and son of twice imprisoned Chinese human rights lawyer Guo Feixiong and former and current prisoner of conscience, unlawfully detained since January 2022. Guo Feixiong, has been the victim of incessant harassment, imprisonment, and torture at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party for his legal activism, and spent eleven years in prison. In July 2021, Feixiong was denied entry on a flight to the United States to care for his wife who was diagnosed with a late-stage fatal disease. Forcibly disappeared a few months later, he currently awaits trial for “inciting subversion of state power.” Living in exile since 2009, Peter Yang has not seen his father since he was 7 years old.
