• This resolution is redundant of resolution 76/81 "The occupied Syrian Golan." The resolution calls Israel's actions illegal and demands its withdrawal from the Golan, yet ignores genocidal massacres taking place in Syria and the security implications of the violence in Syria on Israel and the civilians of the Golan Heights. The resolution also ignores Syria's history of shelling Israeli communities, its leaders' calls for a "war of annihilation" against Israel, and Syria's 1967 aggression that led to its loss of the territory. Furthermore, it places the burden on Israel to resume negotiations.
