• This one-sided resolution ignores claims of 900,000 Jewish refugees displaced from Arab lands as a result of the Israeli-Arab wars. It also repeats previous statements, the sole purpose of which is to censure Israel, is redundant to other resolutions, and prejudges negotiations.
• Furthermore, although current conflicts and crises are creating millions of refugees today, the General Assembly does not address any of these situations in a similar resolution on refugees. For example, the General Assembly has not adopted any resolutions on the ongoing conflicts and crisis in Sudan, Yemen, or Venezuela (each of which has generated millions of displaced people). Therefore, this clearly singles out Israel for condemnation.
