Hakima El Haité is a Moroccan politician and scientist, and is an internationally recognized leader in the fields of environmental sustainability and development. She was elected as the 14th president of Liberal International in 2018. She is the second female president in Liberal International’s history and the first from the MENA region. She helped orchestrate the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate change.
