Humberto Calderón Berti is a Venezuelan politician and oil expert. He was Minister of Energy and Mines of Venezuela between 1979 and 1983. He served as President of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) between 1979 and 1980, Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1992, and Deputy and President of the Energy and Mines Commission of the Chamber of Deputies between 1989 and 1993. He also held the position of Venezuelan ambassador to Colombia under Juan Guaidó’s provisional government after Colombia recognized him as president during the 2019 presidential crisis.
