Luai Ahmed is a Yemeni-Swedish journalist, columnist, and social media influencer born in Sana’a, Yemen. His upbringing was heavily influenced by his mother, Amal Basha, a peace and women’s rights activist. As a result of his mother’s activism, his family faced threats from al-Qaeda in 2013.
