Rabeea Abu Saleh is a Druze resident from Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights who gained international prominence as a human rights advocate following a family tragedy. After his 16-year-old son, Ameer, was killed alongside 11 other children in a July 2024 Hezbollah rocket attack on a local football field, he took his community’s grief to the global stage.
