Shahrzad Eden Osterer is an Iranian-born journalist, author, and women’s rights expert who left Tehran at age nineteen and became one of the most prominent voices on Iranian civil society in the German-speaking world. Based in Munich, she has worked for over fifteen years as a prominent broadcaster and writer for various major outlets, including the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation and ARD. Known for her advocacy against anti-Semitism and the oppression of women under the Islamic Republic, she co-authored the book Escalation to analyze the Middle East conflict.
