The Bipartisan Chairmen of the Congressional Israel Allies Caucus have sent a strongly worded letter to the Secretary General of the United Nations condemning comments by a top U.N. human rights official about the Boston bombings. U.N. Human Right’s Council Palestine monitor Richard Falk blamed the terror attacks on “American global dominion” and “Tel Aviv.”

Dear Mr. Secretary-General,
We are writing to express our outrage and indignation over the remarks of a top UN human rights official who blamed the Boston terror attacks on “American global dominion” and “Tel Aviv.”
In a piece published in Foreign Policy Journal, the UN Human Right’s Council Palestine monitor Richard Falk implied that the Boston terror attack was a justified response to U.S. policies in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq writing “how many canaries will have to die before we awaken from our geopolitical fantasy of global domination?” and that “as long as Tel Aviv has the compliant ear of the American political establishment those who wish for peace and justice in the world should not rest easy.”
These malicious and mendacious claims not only justify these heinous terrorist attacks on innocent civilians, but belie the most basic human right – the right to live. They make a mockery of the founding principles of the United Nations and are a deep affront to the American people.
We urge you to immediately and publicly condemn these odious and offensive remarks.
