US Government Support: Neuer Testifies at US Congress
Hillel Neuer, Executive Director of UN Watch, was invited to address the House Committee of Foreign Affairs of the US Congress.
In his testimony, Mr. Neuer exposed the double standards that have led to the world’s worst human rights abusers tainting the importance of various UN mechanisms.
Amidst the backdrop of many concerning incidents, Eric Tistounet, UNHRC Chief of Staff, has continued his ‘Dirty Tricks Campaign’ targeting UN Watch – with smear attacks, censorship and personal harassment. He has tampered with speakers lists, verified by Emma Reilly in her whistleblower testimony and through leaked internal emails.
He has made special rules for UN Watch with defamatory intent, demanding their speeches beforehand, enabling him to draft vicious reprimands. Plunging to his moral nadir, Tistounet orchestrated an online defamation campaign against Hillel Neuer, grounded in a false arrest case.
Tistounet even attempted to have Mr. Neuer physically detained by UN security, in order to block him from entering the Council chamber in Geneva.
In reference to Ms. Reilly’s testimony, Mr. Neuer describes Tistounet’s discrimination against UN Watch and himself, as frequently using ‘anti-Semitic tropes’, such that UN Watch have been ‘controlling member states or other NGOs behind the scenes’.
In October, UN Watch filed a legal complaint with the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, and was told that it would be dealt with as per internal procedure. To date no official response has been given or action taken as result of the complaint.
Surprised that so little has been done to solve this purposefully protracted saga, Rep. Chris Smith, Chairman at the hearing, confirmed he would put together a letter to Guterres and ‘take it to him in New York’.
