Francesca Albanese Claims Countries Condemning Antisemitism Are “Inciting Violence”

In a recent interview, Francesa Albanese claimed that she faces “threats” from UN member states who have created “a violent environment” against her — which she claims amounts to “incitement to violence” against her.

The notorious pro-Hamas UN official also lashed out at UN Watch for its campaign broadcasting her own words, and those of democracies who have condemned her for promoting terrorism and antisemitism, on major buildings in New York.

“I have arrived to the United States and for days there were billboards in Times Square and other places with my face and I was accused of being an antisemite or a pro-terrorist. And again, it’s very heavy,” said Albanese.

Earlier this year, the UN faced unprecedented international opposition to the renewal of her mandate as special rapporteur. The United States, the Netherlands, Argentina, Hungary, and Israel all publicly opposed the move. Most recently, eleven U.S. congressmen called on the UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, to reverse the decision to renew her mandate, citing UN Watch’s 60-page exposé of her support for Hamas terrorism and secret funding by pro-Hamas groups.

UN Watch Executive Director Hillel Neuer has responded to Francesca Albanese’s latest claims: “It is absurd for Albanese to brand the exposure of her own vile rhetoric as a ‘threat.’ She is the only UN official in history to have been condemned by leading Western democracies for antisemitism,” said Neuer.

“Shining a spotlight on her hateful conduct is not ‘incitement to violence’ but a call for a top UN official to be held accountable for continuously breaching the organization’s own code of conduct,” he added.
