UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese abuses her UN mandate to propagate antisemitism and support terrorism, as documented by UN Watch.
Here are some of her latest outrages from the month of October:
1. Albanese Defends The Islamic Regime, Praising Its Ayatollahs to Defame Zionism (October 22, 2025)
Albanese reposted a tweet describing Israel as “the embodiment of evil” while praising Iran’s Ayatollahs as morally superior, even going so far as to say that “the Ayatollahs, compared to the Zionists, become Doctors Without Borders.”
For a regime that has systematically oppressed its population for nearly half a century, as documented by UN Watch, such a statement is not only morally indefensible but deeply revealing. Albanese, who presents herself as a UN human rights expert, appears to have abandoned her moral compass entirely in service of her obsession with defaming Zionism and vilifying the Jewish people.
2. Albanese Doubles Down on Her Support for Restaurant Owner Who Discriminates Against Jews (October 28, 2025)
Albanese defended Nives Monda, a restaurant owner who went viral last May for kicking an Israeli family with children out of her restaurant because “Zionists are not welcome.”
In a recent Facebook post, Monda complains about internet trolls criticizing her due to this antisemitic incident in May. Rather than condemning her actions, or at the very least, distancing herself from Monda, Albanese seized the moment to repost Monda’s complaint, writing, “She’s so good. Don’t waste your time responding to trolls.”
Albanese was also pictured shaking hands with Monda after the antisemitic incident, with Monda stating that “holding hands is a revolutionary action.” Clearly, Albanese has cultivated a relationship with Monda — having no issue supporting business owners who discriminate against customers based on their religion or nationality as long as they are Jewish or Israeli.
3. Albanese Defends Venezuela’s Dictatorship, Attacks Nobel Peace Prize Winner María Corina Machado (October 11, 2025)
Albanese shares a tweet via Facebook stating that “Venezuela’s election loser Maria Corina Machado has won the Nobel Peace Prize… So what has she actually done to win a Nobel Peace Prize?”
Besides berating Machado’s achievement, a great honor earned through her courageous stand against Maduro’s dictatorship, the tweet Albanese shares goes further, mischaracterizing her as an “election loser.” This is not a simple mistake but a deliberate distortion of reality, meant to lend legitimacy to Maduro’s sham elections and his assault on democracy.
In reality, Machado did not lose an election but was barred from running altogether. In January 2024, the Maduro regime illegitimately disqualified her from the ballot, silencing Venezuela’s leading opposition figure and denying citizens the chance to choose her. To label Machado a “loser” is to erase this truth and to rewrite the story of repression as one of democratic defeat.
Albanese goes on to further disrespect Machado’s Prize, writing, “Yes, I too believe that the Nobel Prize should have gone to the survivors of the Holocaust of Gaza.” Rather than congratulating Machado, Albanese tears her down to promote her own political agenda. Only issues that fit within Albanese’s distorted worldview, mainly falsely propagating the Gaza war as a genocide, seem to concern her.
4. Albanese Refuses to Condemn Antisemitic Graffiti at Pro-Palestinian Rally, Deflects Blame onto the Jewish Community (October 9, 2025)
Following violent pro-Palestine protests on October 4th in Rome, the following day antisemitic graffiti was found spray painted on a kosher bakery in the Jewish quarter. The graffiti read, “Dirty Jews, burn them all.”
Rather than condemning the antisemitic incident that correlated with the protests, Albanese decided to respond to the incident by deflecting blame onto the Jewish community. She wrote, “It is intolerance that is on the rise. Consider the case of the high school students beaten by adults from the adjacent synagogue, which passed almost unnoticed in the national press despite its exceptional gravity. It is necessary to uphold legality and combat discrimination.”
Though Albanese insists she is not an antisemite, when given the chance to condemn blatant antisemitism in her own country, she doesn’t just remain silent; she redirects the focus onto the very community enduring the discrimination and threats.
5. Albanese Compares the War in Gaza to the Holocaust Through Trivializing the Gas Chambers (October 3, 2025)
Albanese tweeted, “You don’t need gas chambers and machetes to have genocide. Israel is designing and perfectioning a new set of weaponery to genocide people as such.”
Adding to her long record of weaponizing the Holocaust against the Jewish state, Albanese once again minimizes the very conditions, specifically the gas chambers, that allowed the Nazis to carry out a genocide so systematic and efficient that it claimed six million Jewish lives in just a few years. For Albanese, however, the grotesque details of the Holocaust are not to be remembered with reverence, but repurposed as weapons against the very descendants of those who perished.
In a separate incident, Albanese further trivializes the Holocaust by minimizing the role of trains in bringing millions of Jews to concentration camps, stating, “And this [Gaza] is genocide. It’s not the means. It’s not the trains through which that you use to take people to concentration camps.” Once again, Albanese distorts the Holocaust and the meaning of the term “genocide” for her own political ends.
6. Albanese Insists on the Perpetual “Genocide,” Refuses to Support the Ceasefire (October 9, 2025)
Following the announcement of the U.S.-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, one would expect Albanese to help cultivate public support for the agreement. However, Albanese seized the announcement to further her false claims of genocide, rather than endorsing and supporting the prospect of peace.
Albanese said, “If no more bullets are shot against the people in Gaza, the genocide will continue, because there are no ways to remedy the destruction, the seeds of the various forms of destruction, that have been planted in Gaza.” The reality on the ground is no match for Albanese’s delusions of a perpetual genocide — a narrative she clings to as the foundation of her publicity.
7. Albanese Denies Israel’s Right to Security, Dismisses Radicalization in Gaza (October 9, 2025)
Following Israel and Hamas’ agreement to the first phase of Trump’s ceasefire plan, Albanese spoke to Sky News Australia about the conditions of the plan. She said, “The request to demilitarise and deradicalise Palestine or Gaza… in the name of Israel’s security. Where is the security of the Palestinians, who have been attacked without respite for decades… where is the demilitarisation and deradicalisation of Israel’s society?”
Albanese dismissing Israeli concerns about their national security and radicalization among the Palestinian population 2 days after the anniversary of October 7, when radicalized Palestinians destroyed Israeli citizens’ sense of security, shows her complete indifference to the threats of terrorism Israelis must live with.
UN Watch’s recent report, “School’s in the Grip of Terror,” documents the radicalization of Palestinian children in UNRWA schools, showing the necessity for deradicalisation in any comprehensive peace plan.
