Hamas stole 36,000 liters of fuel from UN warehouses

Hamas stole 36,000 litres of fuel from UNRWA warehouses, according to a report from the head of the Palestinian news desk of Israel’s Channel 11 TV channel. The report followed UNRWA’s own announcement that Hamas’ health ministry had taken fuel and medical equipment.

Elior Levi, head of the Palestinian news desk for Israel’s Channel 11 TV, Oct. 16, 2023:

“The battle in Gaza now is over diesel fuel. Hamas considers it the new gold and wants to grab it by all means. At midday, UNRWA made an unusual announcement that people claiming to be from the Ministry of Health made them give up diesel fuel that belonged to UNRWA and that would have sufficed for hospitals.

UNRWA didn’t accuse directly Hamas, but issued a condemnation of sorts. We can report that today Hamas stole 36,000 litres of fuel from UNRWA warehouses. That would have lasted a week and a half at the hospitals or the desalination plant. A very large quantity that Hamas has taken hold of.
