UN WATCH’S 200-PAGE REPORT PROVING UNRWA TERROR TIES

After speaking in the German Parliament, UN Watch Executive Director Hillel Neuer traveled to Rome last month to present the organization’s 200-page report, Schools in the Grip of Terror, uncovering for the Italian public and decision-makers how Hamas terror chiefs control UNRWA’s education system.

Speaking in a packed hall in the Italian Senate, Neuer presented new evidence that Hamas chiefs simultaneously served as UNRWA school principals, union leaders, and senior educators — while openly glorifying terrorism, recruiting children into militant activity, and blocking reforms such as Holocaust education.

FRANCESCA ALBANESE SERVED WITH COURT PAPERS

At the Senate in Rome, Neuer also presented UN Watch’s recent legal memorandum, filed with the United Nations legal counsel, making the case that Francesca Albanese’s purported reappointment in April was carried out in complete violation of the UN’s own rules, and was therefore null and void.

As a result, UN Watch demonstrated that Albanese no longer enjoys UN immunity, and can be sued, sanctioned, and prosecuted. On July 9th, she was sanctioned. On September 8, she got sued. Last weekend, she was startled to be officially served by a Sheriff with court papers in the middle of a lecture event in South Africa.

MEDIA COVERAGE ACROSS ITALY

On the eve of Neuer’s testimony at the Senate in Rome, Italy’s national newspaper La Stampa published an article on UN Watch’s report. Neuer was also interviewed live on Radio anch’io, a leading current affairs program.

A day after his Senate presentation, Neuer gave a press conference at Rome’s Palazzo Grazioli for the Foreign Press Association, broadcast live by Radio Radicale.

In addition, Neuer’s visit and UN Watch’s report on UNRWA’s terror ties were reported widely by Italian media outlets Il TempoIl RiformistaFormiche, and more.

Likewise, local Jewish publications — including Bet MagazineMosaico, and Shalom — also reported on Neuer’s visit, and advocacy groups like Project Dreyfus promoted Neuer’s testimony on social media.

UN Watch in La Stampa: “UNRWA teaches children that it’s right to destroy Israel”

Prior to presenting UN Watch’s new report to Italian lawmakers at the Senate in Rome, Hillel Neuer gave an interview with leading Italian newspaper La Stampa.

“Since the beginning of the conflict there has been a bizarre propensity for unverified lies coming from Hamas, which UN bodies or officials adopt and spread as official. The list is long. The most serious of lies is genocide,” Neuer told La Stampa.

“A Palestinian Arab state could have been born in 1948, when the British left and the UN adopted the two-state proposal, which the Jewish community approved. Currently, the Palestinian vision is to destroy Israel. And this is what is taught in UNRWA schools.”

Italy’s Senator Giulio Terzi: “UN Watch carries out unique and highly authoritative work”

Il Riformista covered the Senate hearing extensively, praising UN Watch’s investigative report. Hillel Neuer “stole the show,” reported the newspaper. Senator Giulio Terzi applauded UN Watch for its “unique and highly authoritative work.”

“The Senate hosted a well-attended hearing on Information and Truth in the Middle East Conflict. Former Foreign Minister Giulio Terzi opened the proceedings, featuring several speakers. But it was Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, who stole the show.”

“His report brought to the table facts, numbers, and names, that nail UNRWA to embarrassing responsibilities. According to UN Watch’s investigations, a significant portion of senior educators in Gaza have ties to Hamas and Islamic Jihad. Educational materials that incite violence, maps that erase Israel, social media posts that glorify terrorism: this is how generations of students are educated not for peace, but for hatred.”

“The report also exposes the agency’s substantial inertia: principles of neutrality never applied, ‘zero tolerance’ policies announced but never enforced. Hamas, Neuer noted, maintains tight control over schools and programs, preventing any reform. For years, UNRWA has rejected the introduction of transparency tools—such as biometric systems for the refugee census—and yielded to political pressure from armed groups.”
