In wake of today’s attack against Israel, prominent human rights activists have denounced the Islamic regime in Iran and their apologists, and expressed solidarity with the people of Israel. These includes international human rights activists, dissidents, and former political prisoners from Saudi Arabia, Iran, Russia and Cuba, many of whose campaigns have been supported by UN Watch.
Those speaking out include Russian dissident and former world chess champion Garry Kasparov, Chair of the Human Rights Foundation and Co-Founder of the World Liberty Congress, Saudi political prisoner Raif Badawi, former political prisoner in Iran Kylie Moore-Gilbert, Iranian journalist and dissident Masih Alinejad (who was targeted for abduction and assassination by the Islamic regime), Canadian-Iranian human rights activist Nazanin Afshin-Jam, Russian dissident Evgenia Kara-Murza (whose husband Vladimir is a political prisoner in Russia, serving a 25-year sentence for “treason”), and Cuban human rights activist John Suarez.

In our luncheon a few days ago I was impressed with former Israeli Prime Minister @naftalibennett’s appreciation and differentiation between the Islamic Republic of Iran’s regime vs the peaceful freedom-loving Iranian people. It is a turning point in the Middle East. It is the end of proxy war between Israel and the Islamic Republic. It should be a tipping point for democratic countries to create a coalition to support the people of Iran who want to end Islamic Republic.pic.twitter.com/s50EuLezE7
