Wall Street Journal TV Interview:
“U.N. Dictators & Their Apologists”
Saudi Arabia, China, Russia, Cuba seek re-election to UNHRC
AGAIN: Swiss nominate Jean Ziegler to be UN rights expert—even though
he was the UN agent of serial rapist Muammar Qaddafi
GENEVA, Sept. 21, 2016 — Dictatorships including Saudi Arabia, China, Cuba and Russia are running for re-election to the UN’s highest human rights body, revealed UN Watch executive director in an interview today on Wall Street Journal TV. The election will take place on October 28th at the UN General Assembly, and UN Watch together with Human Rights Foundation will be leading the opposition.
In addition, UN Watch revealed today that Jean Ziegler—the UN apologist for Qaddafi as the tyrant kidnapped and raped hundreds of teenagers—has been nominated yet again by Switzerland, as the sole candidate of the Western group, to be an expert advisor at the UN Human Rights Council. As a prior UN expert, Ziegler also defended dictator Robert Mugabe, the Hezbollah terrorist group, and genocidal Sudan.
UN Watch has launched a campaign urging the U.S. and fellow Western group members UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium to fight Ziegler’s candidacy.
