In September 2020, UNRWA employee Nadim Elhaj posted an antisemitic video. The video opposes Israel’s normalization with Bahrain by repeating common antisemitic conspiracy theories about wealthy Jews controlling the world. It asserts that Zionist Jews achieved normalization with Bahrain by using their wealth and influence to develop business relations with Bahraini leaders and to infiltrate Bahrain’s government. The hashtag to this post refers to Bahrain’s normalization of relations with Israel as “treachery.”
