GENEVA, August 12, 2020 — United Nations Watch (UN Watch) is pleased to announce that Simon Plosker, formerly of HonestReporting, will join UN Watch on September 1st as Managing Editor.

Plosker, widely recognized as a top editor and expert on coverage of the Middle East and international affairs, will focus on managing UN Watch’s expanding output in publications, reports and social media, based on methodical research, monitoring and analysis of the actions of UN agencies and officials.
“At a time when UN Watch is producing an unprecedented amount of daily content in multiple languages across Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, and on the verge of expanding our website and introducing a state-of-the-art online database, we look forward to Simon’s arrival and the contribution of his vast knowledge and experience to UN Watch,” said Neuer.
Plosker comes to UN Watch after 14 years at HonestReporting, where he was responsible for the media watchdog’s content and profile while exposing anti-Israel bias in the mainstream media and holding journalists to their own professional standards.

Simon Plosker served as Managing Editor at HonestReporting since 2005. His career in non-profit and advocacy organizations spans over two decades, including with NGO Monitor, BICOM, the Jewish Agency for Israel and the Board of Deputies of British Jews. Plosker is a graduate of the University of Birmingham and the London School of Economics.
