U.N. General Assembly Targets Israel with 5 Resolutions in Connection with 'Palestine Day'

NEW YORK, December 3, 2019 – The United Nations General Assembly today adopted five resolutions against Israel, and zero on the entire rest of the world, in connection with last week’s annual Palestine Day, when the UN marks the anniversary of Nov. 29, 1947, when Palestinian Arabs and allied Arab states rejected the UN plan to create a Palestinian Arab state alongside a Jewish state. Following are the resolutions and full votes:

  1. “Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People” [A/74/L.14]: Adopted by a vote of 92 – 13 – 61

  2. “Division for Palestinian Rights of the Secretariat” [A/74/L.16]: Adopted by a vote of 87 – 23 – 54
  3. “Peaceful settlement of the question of Palestine” [A/74.L.15]: Adopted by a vote of 147 – 7 – 13

  4. “Special information program on the question of Palestine of the Department of Public Information of the Secretariat” [A/74/L.17]: Adopted by a vote of 144 – 8 – 14

  5. “The Syrian Golan” [A/74/L.9]: Adopted by a vote of 91 – 9 – 65
