Ahed Al-Muqaid, UNRWA Head of Operations in Jabalia, Sold Aid with Hamas

UNRWA’s head of operations in Jabalia, Gaza, Ahed Al-Muqaid, was killed in October 2024 during fierce fighting in northern Gaza. Hamas mourned his death on their official channels. Why? Because he has been openly supporting them for over a decade.

As far back as 2011, Ahed was publicly celebrating the release of 1000 Hamas terrorists in a prisoner exchange which included Sinwar, and many others who shot, bombed, and stabbed innocent civilians.

In fact he created a whole photo album celebrating at Hamas rallies. His caption: “Hamas can attract the minds and hearts of people with its honesty of approach, strength of determination and steadfastness on principles.”

More recently, Ahed has been accused by Palestinian sources of collaborating with Hamas leaders to sell UNRWA’s humanitarian aid. That’s right, as operations head he would be key in ensuring your taxpayer-funded aid was being sold for profit to needy Palestinians in order to finance Hamas.

Ahed describes one of the best days of his life as the day his daughter got to share a stage with none other than Ismail Haniyeh. He describes it as a “historic event” and “a victory for the belief in defiance”

On May 2, 2023 while Islamic Jihad was firing rockets at Israel he incited his 4,900 facebook friends to join the terrorists, writing: “Stand up for your country and pay for it with your blood. Death is easier than the dust of humiliation.”

On October 7 and the days following, Ahed was celebrating and praying for victory. He wrote: “Happiness that fills the heart” and “the victory of Allah is near”

Just months prior in June he celebrated another attack where two Hamas terrorists entered a gas station and restaurant shooting civilians indiscriminately. Ahed called it a “success” that 4 civilians were killed.

But this is nothing new. All UNRWA had to do was look at his albums for the past 13 years to see him glorifying suicide bombers like Reem Riyashi and posting open threats to Israel.
