Abdul Rahman Khalil, UNRWA Tripoli Teacher, Linked to PFLP

Abdul Rahman Khalil, is an UNRWA teacher in the Nahr Bared camp in Tripoli, Lebanon. Khalil’s neutrality violations include the following:

  • Describes PFLP leader as his “brother and friend.”
  • Endorses the October 7th Hamas attack.
  • Posts antisemitic content describing Jews as money-hoarding deceivers.  

In February 2024, the Northern chapter of the UNRWA Lebanon Teachers Union gave Khalil an award. (February 14, 2024).

Khalil Endorses October 7th Hamas Attack

On October 7th, Khalil posted a photo on Facebook showing the Hamas terrorists standing atop an IDF tank waving the Palestinian flag with Khalil’s headshot overlaid onto the photo and text about returning to Tzipori in northern Israel, indicating Khalil’s endorsement of the attack. (October 7, 2024).

Khalil Mourns PFLP Terrorists

When Suleiman Imad Hassan, field commander for the PFLP’s Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades, was killed in October 2024 while involved in hostilities against Israel, Khalil mourned him as a martyr (October 30, 2024). 

Khalil also mourned Imad Odeh Abu Ziad, PFLP military commander killed in a targeted Israeli airstrike in Lebanon, as a “brother” and “friend” (September 30, 2024).

Khalil Promotes Classical Antisemitism

Khalil also promotes blatant antisemitism with a post sharing a story that depicts Jews as money hungry. Khalil adds his comment “The Jews are The Jews” (September 13, 2020).
