In numerous interviews obtained exclusively by UN Watch, students of UNRWA schools glorify violence and terrorism against Jews. Today, UN Watch released another one of these interviews, as part of a larger trove of evidence showing how UNRWA leaders work closely with top Hamas officials, UNRWA teachers, school principals, teacher union heads and regional directors either belong to or embrace Hamas, and how all of this leads to students embracing violence and terrorism against Jews.
Muhanad Runi Muhammed Dar Khalil, who studied at the UNRWA Ein ‘Arik Co-Ed Basic School, was taught to “expel the Jews” from Jerusalem and wants to “design missiles and planes” because “it’s the best thing for the resistance.” Muhanad believes that Hamas was “right” to do what it did on October 7.

Do they talk about the Right of Return at school?
Yes.
What do you know about the Right of Return?
That we need to return to our land.
That the occupation needs to leave our land.
What happened on October 7th is this connected to the Right of Return?
Yes. It’s connected.
It’s to liberate Gaza and the people there.
Muhanad, do you feel that Al-Aqsa is just a symbol or are we, as Palestinians, prepared to sacrifice ourselves for it?
We’ll redeem it with our blood. With our lives.
Do [the Jews] have the right to be in Palestine, anywhere in the country?
No.
If I were to come and tell you let’s divide Jerusalem between the Jews and the Palestinians would that be OK?
No. Palestine is ours. How could we divide it?
We’ll sacrifice ourselves, and kick them out.
What do you think is the solution for Jerusalem?
To liberate it. And expel the Jews from it.
What do you want to do when you grow up?
An engineer.
Why?
It’s the best thing for the resistance. I’ll design missiles and planes.
Do the teachers tell you about the Israeli occupation?
Yeah, that they occupied us in 1948.
Who are the people that you truly see as heroes?
The resistance.
They keep killing the Jews in order to kick them out of our land.
Do you support peace between Israel and the Arab countries?
No.
What do you think about what Hamas did on October 7th?
It’s something we take pride in.
So you think Hamas was right to do what it did?
Yes. They were right. Because it’s in defense of our land. Eventually, Israel will be completely destroyed.
Muhanad, what are you prepared to do for your land?
To give my life for it.
